Qualifications

  • Carries out detections of wholesale food in Guangdong regional with Administration for Industry & Commerce
  • Developed the method of Sudan I detection, which is applied by Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Dept and Macao Health Department
  • Underwent 9 first prizes of national and Guangdong regional Technology Advancement Award
  • Undertakes 25 research projects of food detection in national and Guangdong regional

Brief:

1. Food Security laboratory was established and approved by General administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine (AQSIQ) and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS);

Equipments & Facilities

2. The laboratory, about 4500 m2, is with 500 sets of instruments, including GC/MS, HPLC-MS/MS, ICP-MS and more, which are worth 50 million RMB. Three sets of HPLC-MS/MS are applied in the section of veterinary residue detecting so the detecting limits reach the levels of ųg/kg, which in accordance with the required detecting limits of United States, Japan and Europe Union. On the other hand, the specialists have developed applicable Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) while making reference to standards of FDA, AOAC, Europe Union and China.

Services

The detecting categories cover to veterinary residue detecting, pesticides residue detecting, trace elements testing, GMO identification, food pollutants detecting, food additives detecting, bio-toxins detecting and microbiology index detecting, which sum up to 2000 items with 300 kinds.

From January to October of 2008, the laboratory received about 32,500 samples of veterinary residue detecting and issued 130,000 testing results, which had remained excellent reputation on the accuracy of the testing results.
